Reading Buddies is a program in partnership with United Way of the Piedmont, Spartanburg Academic Movement, Jesse Bobo Elementary, and Lone Oak Elementary. The program pairs teams of three volunteers with a kindergarten student for weekly reading sessions during the school year. Through consistent, positive interaction with caring adult volunteers, participating children will improve their reading skills, increase their confidence, and gain an adult mentor.
